Pajama day

We reached our schoolwide target of 3000 whanau cards and enjoyed our reward of  pajama day and bring a toy to school.

Colouring with our toys.

Making beds and homes for our toys

The dinosaur pajama club.

Practising Pause Breathe Smile with our toys. Seeing if we can get our toy to rise with our breath.

 A fun fun day!

Calendar art and Fact or Fib

Last week the children enjoyed creating their calendar art around space...

First, we paint-splatted a piece of paper to show the stars.

Then we chose to draw an astronaut or rocket either using how to draw instructions or creating our own.

Next, we used pastels to draw the planets, the sun or moon/s that we wanted to include. We could choose if we wanted to base our planets on real planets or create our own.

Finally, we cut out all the pieces and created our picture on the star background.

To add to our finished art we shared some of the learning we have done about space. We wrote facts and fibs. Which of the statements are facts? Which ones are fibs?

Wheels and Water Day

We had so much fun celebrating the end of the year with our wheels and water day. Check out the photos below!
