FUN DAY FRIDAY (On Thursday)

Our school has worked so hard to collect 3000 whānau cards. Our reward was to have a play with the cool things in the Ōrongomai play pod. We had heaps of fun!!!!

We were also lucky enough to get our faces painted by the wonderful Miss Eastwick and Catherine. 

ANZAC Day

 Today we read a story about why we have ANZAC day. Halswell School will be laying a wreath at the Halswell War Memorial on Anzac day. You may like to make some Anzac biscuits. See the recipe below.

Whanaungatanga - connecting with our Big Buddies

We had fun making Easter cards for our big buddies to wish them a happy holiday. We chose what type of card we wanted to make. 

Some people choose to follow instructions on the iPad for how to draw an Easter basket or bunny.

Our buddies loved receiving their cards. Hopefully, we will be able to do activities with them soon.

 

 

Fun Fri - Yay in TK

 We have had such a fun day in our studio today. Fun Friday is our favourite time to get all of our equipment out, put on our dancing shoes and practice our gymnastics. Check out some of the fun we have had today! 

Todays assembly

 Look at the wonderful people in Tī Kōuka who have been showing Manawanuitanga this week and received a certificate at today's virtual assembly.

Fletcher was our individual whanau card winner. He got to choose a friend to play with in the blue room with the imagination station.

The whole school has have collected 3235 whanau cards so far. We are close to getting our target of 4000 cards for the term.
